at work

Exhibiting new work entitled Ella se Levanta, which pays homage to the artist Frida Kahlo and symbolizes her ability to transcend physical limitations, embodying her famous quote, '¿Pies, para qué los quiero si tengo alas para volar?' ('Feet, why do I need you when I have wings to fly?'). The ofrenda dedicated to Frida was created for my solo Día de los Muertos exhibition.

I delight in the spontaneous outcomes of the cyanotype process and the intuitive journey it takes me on.

Topping Saint Dymphna with a golden crown.

Enhancing my image transfer with watercolor and pastel.

Gently removing the pulp from this sweet angel with lamb transfer.

Reimaging a photograph of the Virgin of Guadalupe I took in Baja California Sur.

The juxtaposition of darkness and light, enhnaced by gold leaf.

Revealing the image one bit of pulp at a time. The journey of creation is as important as the final result.
